Top Looks from New York AW 10, Day 6

TIBI

Pretty, easy to wear. I enjoyed this show but it was nothing ground breaking.

THREEASFOUR

What an interesting show! It felt like I was watching a gothic Medusa type woman walking down the runway with different coloured snakes wrapped around her to coincide with her outfits. Pretty cool.

THE ROW

I liked this show because of its simplicity although some of the looks felt TOO simple and therefore just boring but overall I was left feeling the Olsen sisters had done a good job. They know that less is more and it really works for them. I'm not sure how those sandals would work in winter tho....

SOPHIE THEALLET

Preeeeeetyyyyyyy

REEM ACRA

I'm so biased towards sequins its embarrassing!

RODARTE

DIVINE!! I liked this Rodarte collection MUCH more than last seasons. I find it more interesting to get lady-like floral fabrics and trash them and mix them up in a raggedy way than if it's dark, morbid fabrics. This overall look is more fun, I feel, and therefore I find it more accessible and wearable. I AM getting tired of seeing so many of Rodarte's designs looking the same (strips of contrasting fabric wound in and out of each other forming a top or dress) but this is hard to resist because it's done so well. And the shoes! Don't even get me started ♥

NARCISO RODRIGUEZ

The colourblocking and asymmetry in this show was just right. None of it was OTT. I've always had a weak spot for his designs though!

MULBERRY

MARC BY MARC JACOBS

Another gorgeous but not particularly outstanding Marc by Marc Jacobs collection. I feel he could design these collections with his eyes closed. He just totally has it down. The lace pieces are beautiful.

DEREK LAM

I loved the tailoring in this show there was so much detail! There was definitely a western feel for this collection with the fringing, suede, embroidery and cowboy hats but it didn't look cheesy.
